[rt-users] Strip mime - does it work or break RT?

Randy,

I wrote the original version of stripmime as just a very simple 'filter'
for mail headed to RT -- it was really an ad hoc hack designed to work
with RT 0.99; I submitted it with the hope that it would be useful to
others, but as upgrades to RT and the Mime parser modules are made, it
will probably need enhancement...

But just from a practical standpoint, we use it in a fairly heavy-load RT
environment with over 15,000 tickets so far and there has never been a
hiccup from it since day one.

The modified version that was just posted should probably be added to my
version in the /pub/rt/contrib directory.

Good luck with it -- it's pretty simple.

Dave
