As you can see I have Mason working I have done a few small things with it
so I know it actually works.
My problem is when I have this line in httpd.conf

PerlRequire /opt/rt2/bin/webmux.pl

Apache dies at startup.
[root at needham5 root]# /etc/init.d/httpd start
Starting httpd: [ OK ]
[root at needham5 root]# /etc/init.d/httpd status
httpd dead but subsys locked
[root at needham5 root]#

These commands were issued a few seconds apart.

I have an strace of apache if anyone wants it.

The command I used to build mod_perl was :

perl Makefile.PL USE_APXS=1 WITH_APXS=%{_sbindir}/apxs EVERYTHING=1
make

All of these components apache, mod_per,perl where all built on this machine.

The guidance I am looking for here is :
Where do I look to troubleshoot this?
Has anyone run into the same problem before?
Where do I go from here?

Thanks for the help and suggestions so far.

Doug
