I ported it partly because I was a Win32 user, and I have other Win32
users that want to use RT to work with me.

However, they (and I) were satisfied with the WebUI, so I have no
personal incentives to make the mailgate work, except for, yes,
possibly monetary incentives.

That is valid -- the next versions of installer will now say

(Please note: this version does not yet support incoming mails.)

before you install it. Thanks, applied as @9250 here.

Did you also configure the "Reply-To" (aka SMTPFrom in the Edit/Global/
screen) parameter? It is defaulted to "rt at localhost". You may wish to
change it to something more sensible.

Alternatively, you can also use the registry editor to modify

    HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\Softwares\OurInternet\Request Tracker\SMTPFrom

Either way, you'd need to restart the Apache web server for it to take
effect.

I agree that the "SMTPFrom" config name may not be self-explanatory
enough. Suggestions welcome.

I'm sorry if I have given that impression. It was not my intention.

I apologize. English is not my first (or second) language, and I am
deeply sorry if I offended you somehow.

Thanks,
