I upgrade perl to use the manually installed and compiled one as well as
upgrade apache/modperl... I still get these issues. Any other ideas?

I also had problems with the Sunfreeware binary release. In the end I
compiled Perl from the source (which can be found at
http://www.perl.com/CPAN/src/stable.tar.gz).

Thanks,

Nick

I did use the sunfreeware package for 5.8.0 and used CPAN to install the
modules. I had no errors for this install. Where should I obtain the version
of perl required.

Thanks

Yes, it seems to be. I had the same problem on a Solaris 9 server. After a
manual install of Perl 5.8.0 and an update of all the modules using CPAN the
problem resolved its self.

Which version of perl are you using and how did you install it? I know the
Sun packaged one has a number of issues so should be avoided.

Thanks,

Nick

Is this something specific to solaris?

I made this change. It still gets the same error. I also notice when I start
the web server I get this error as well.

Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at
/usr/local/rt/lib/RT/Handle.pm line 49.

        Hello. Michael.
Try to add
use RT::Handle;
at start of RT.pm near other 'use ...' strings.
This error could be occure through perl(may be mod_perl) implementation
on different platforms.
        Best regards. Ruslan.
