[rt-users] 3.4RC1 configuration error?

I'm in the process of upgrading from RT 3.0.6 to RT 3.4RC1 and see the
following error when trying to use an SSL connection:

/var/www/error/HTTP_NOT_FOUND.html.var (is file outside component root?)

I think the answer to the question "is file outside component root?"
is "yes", but can someone point me to what I might have done wrong
in the configuration?
