<BR><FONT SIZE=2>rt-mailgate.</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>It looks like the characters get converted twice to utf-8, and so become</FONT>

<BR><FONT SIZE=2>4 bytes instead of 2 in the database.</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Example: </FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>In the web-interface i see the word "Ã¼berprÃ¼fen", but it should be</FONT>

<BR><FONT SIZE=2>"überprüfen".</FONT>

</P>


<P><FONT SIZE=2>Upgrade to perl 5.8.3 from 5.8.0 did not help.</FONT>

</P>


<P><FONT SIZE=2>Has anybody had this problem and has solved it?</FONT>
