send e-mails with the custom fields and such to be submitted as tickets. So
you could have a web front end for submission that generates an e-mail to RT.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

I went through the archives and did not really find a good or easy answer to
this question. Plus many of the posts are very old. We created an
external form for RT 3.8.0 and resides on an external site. The form
works fine for creating a ticket, except that it requires the person to login.
We need to have an easy way to setup this form and RT so that anyone can
submit a ticket using that form and are not required to login. Our form
also includes custom fields.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

it is not possible to do this, then is it possible to allow the user on the
login page to create their own login or perhaps when the user submits the
ticket, their email address automatically creates a login for them and RT auto
