<div class="gmail_extra">[SOLVED]</div><div class="gmail_extra"><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">So after changing the username on the script (resolving the AUTH error) I was still left with the permissions error. I moved my rt directory OUT of the root folder and into opt/rt and low and behold it started flowing mail into RT. Thank  you so much for all the help, this is a great list and wonderful community. Also appreciate it for not making me feel too dumb :)<br>

              Shouldnt that be -rwxr-xr-x root rt ... ... ... .....? 
              Thats how mine is set.  I have fetchmail in the crontab
              under an underprivied user belonging to the rt group. <br>
