[Prophet] prophet mailing list archives on Gmane

I wonder, why isn't there a copy of the mailing list archives on
Gmane [1]?
NNTP is just out of competition for accessing such archives, and
it makes it easy to replicate a part or the whole of a mailing
list's archive at one's own host (for off-line reading, or
Internet-independent searching, or pretty much anything.)
It takes virtually no effort to configure mailing list to Gmane
and vice versa forwarding, but, IIUC, it requires an explicit
mailing list's owner action to replicate the messages already
posted at Gmane.
