[Pushmi-users] what happens if a slave cannot communicate with the master?

What is the behavior if a slave cannot communicate with the master?
Other than pushme sync obviously wouldn't work.  What would happen
if a client does a checkin or a merge to the slave?

On a separate note, what would happen if the master some how disconnects
and several slaves all independently have outstanding and conflicted
checkins?
