Did a bunch of work on the linking interface. It's now got
a much easier API. and it's twice as functional (you can delete links)

Did the proof-of concept for the link code in the CLI. it'll need
fleshing out tomorrow.

Fleshed out other parts of the CLI.

stayed up way too late.
