[rt-devel] RT development, where to start?

Where's the best place to start learning to write addons to RT? I've been 
programming in Perl off and on for years including a fair amount of CGI and 
CLI based programs. I've never done anything with modperl nor Mason, how well 
do I need to know these? Any recommendations for the newbie?
