Installed it, then backed it out to pre3.

1. Definitely faster.  Screens start to appear quicker, then stop for a bit while the search is being done. 
2. Search is faster.  I had positive comments from my microscopic user base. 

Backed out as attachments in tickets weren't displaying as expected.  pdf's displayed as text. I didn't have time to debug so fell back to pre3, which worked as before.

Freebsd 4.8, apache 1.3.28, mod perl 1.28
