Hi I am trying to upgrade from 3.9.6 on Ubuntu 10.10/MySQL/FasCGI.

When trying to run fixdeps I get:

USERLOGO dependencies:

Falling back to DynaLoader (Can't locate loadable object for module Imager::File::GIF in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl /home/jstark/rt-4.0.0rc1) at /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1/Imager/File/GIF.pm line 19

make: *** [fixdeps] Error 1

I have tried downloading and installing Imager-File-GIF manually but when trying perl Makefile.PL I get:

~/Imager-File-GIF-0.78# perl Makefile.PL

GIF: building independently

GIF: main: includes not found - libraries not found

GIF: Checking if the compiler can find them on its own

Note (probably harmless): No library found for -lgif

GIF: Test code failed: Can't link/include 'gif_lib.h', 'stdio.h', 'gif'

OS unsupported: GIF libraries or headers not found

Any ideas?

Thanks

Jeff

I'm pleased to announce the availability of RT 4.0.0rc1 - the first in a series of release candidates on the road to RT 4.0.0.

We would be thrilled to hear your experiences installing or upgrading to this release. In particular, this release incorporates RTFM into core RT as the Articles feature.

As always, please review the UPGRADING documentation.

We are aware of some issues on Oracle and an issue with the web based installer that are being addressed for rc2.
