[rt-devel] RT development and perl versions?

Hi,

Just a general question on RT development, would it be acceptable to 
set a preference to use
a version of perl greater than 5.10.1 in a RT extension?

FOA:
use v5.10.1;

The reason I ask is that I'm considering using the perl switch 
functionality:
