Hello,
this subject encoding is used when the subject contains characters like üöä...
You should install the following patch:
http://www.fsck.com/pub/rt/contrib/subject-encoding.patch-1.0.7
This patch makes use of the module MIME::Words, so make sure it' s installed.
With this patch encoded subjects are translated back to normal form.
