Greetings to everyone on the list,
I found information regarding RH 7.2 installs of RT, which didn't help me in
the slightest. Please pardon me if this is a duplicate question.
I have a RedHat 7.3 system, using all of the default RPMS for apache, perl,
and mod_perl. I have installed MySQL, and all of the Perl modules. I use Mason
for another application on the system, so I have it installed, and I know it
is working.
My problem is that I can not get RT to work due the following errors:
1) After initial install, RT doesn't work and gives mason errors in the browser:
Error during compilation of /var/www/html/mason/RT/WebRT/html/index.html:
Global symbol "%session" requires explicit package name at /var/www/html/mason/RT/WebRT/html/index.html
line 23. Global symbol "%session" requires explicit package name at /var/www/html/mason/RT/WebRT/html/index.html
line 1. Global symbol "%session" requires explicit package name at /var/www/html/mason/RT/WebRT/html/index.html
line 15. Stack: [/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/HTML/Mason/Interp.pm:505] [/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/HTML/Mason/Interp.pm:264]

[(eval 29):5] [/dev/null:0]
2) I also get errors about RT.pm not being found, which I resolved by manually
copying the RT perl modules into the Perl @INC path.
3) adding webmux.pl causes apache not to load
4) I also get an error in the apache error log:
Undefined subroutine &RT::Mason::handler called.
These issues do not all happen at once, but happen each time I try to something
to get RT working. Is there an RPM out there somewhere (other than the OpenPKG
RPM), or can someone offer me any help. I had the same problems one the same
system when it was running RH 7.2...I have since zero-filled and installed 7.3.
Any help would be great,
Nicholas
