[rt-users] can't write to '/var/log/rt2/rt.log8'

I've added group write to the dir
drwxrwxr-x    2 root     rt           4096 Dec  3 09:52 rt2

and made mail user a member of rt group.  That seems to work ok.  Are 
there any other users I need to make a member of rt?  Currently:
# grep rt /etc/group
rt:x:35:rt,apache,mail
