Depends on your system and your perl. With FreeBSD 4.x and the system
perl, the *only* issue is a massive memory leak on apache restart:
cure is to stop/start the server instead.
I'm doing testing with FreeBSD 4.x and perl 5.6.1 to see if the same
memory leak occurs. The expectation is that the leak will go
away... hmm quick test shows much smaller leak on restart, but still
there.
There are no stability issues at all with this configuration.
