[rt-users] Installation problem in rt-3-0-6

I have been trying to install rt-3.0.6 that I downloaded just now. 
Somehow configure is not letting the --prefix parameter have any say. It 
insists on using the layout for installing the binaries. Is this a 
feature or a bug?

I am having to edit the config.layout file to install it to the correct 
directories.
