Thanks to Guy and everyone else who pointed me in the right way - all
working now.

A little feedback: I did, at one stage, check that box, but the information
message said, "Privileged status: That user is now privileged". To me,
"privileged" - rightly or wrongly - means root access, admin rights, that
kind of thing, so I removed the "privileged status". Maybe a change of
terminology would be appropriate?
