He is running 3.0.9.
I don't know where this note is placed on wiki, but that's a bullshit.
Topic was discussed here few days ago and resolution is such: you MUST
upgrade __client libraries__ if you upgrade your server from 3.x or 4.0.x.
Please update wiki.
