Hi Carl,
I would suggest that you simply install rt-3.2.1 by hand. No need
to rely on the ports, unless it breaks the rules of NetBSD!
I run on FreeBSD and I'd say rt is so easy to install once you
have a running instance of apache that has mod_perl support.
Of course you need at least perl-5.8.3 for rt-3.2.1
I have not managed to run under fastcgi at all. It's one of those
things that I haven't managed despite reading the howtos, but I
believe it's something stupid I am missing.
Installing RT is well documented in the README that is in the distro.
