Out of curiosity ... what's this return?

select count(*) from transactions;

I'd also love to hear about what you've done to optimize RT for Oracle
(and vice versa). We're looking hard at RT and want to address some
concerns we see (or at least thought we saw) with scaling to 300000+
tickets.
