We have this problem on 3.4.2 so I'm not sure if it's specific to an 
RT version. Have you tried Opera as a brower. For me, the problem 
doesn't occur at all with Opera, only IE & Firefox.

Also, I think including the user & password in the URL ( 
"?user=myname&pass=mypass" )seemed to help.
