My intention is to package the latest stable RT (actually 3.4.5 rather,
not 3.5.x) my mistake.

Subject: [rt-users] Packaging RT 3.5.x under Debian

Hello,

Does anyone on the list have any experience rolling their own Debian
package of RT? We're running Debian Sarge and have finally decided to
put RT into production but we'd like to use the most recently stable
release of RT 3.5.x instead of the one already packaged in Debian Sarge
(3.4.4). I'm familiar with creating debian packages but packaging RT
seems like it's going to be a real chore because of all the
dependencies. Is there a good way to make use of the existing source
package for RT 3.4.4 and create a new one using the latest 3.5.x source
tarball? Just installing from source on the box it will run on isn't an
option as we package everything that goes into production for ease of
system management.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.
