Sounds like the Authen::Passphrase::PHPass module doesn't like the way
that RT-Authen-ExternalAuth is invoking it.

Unfortunately, you'll need to add some debugging to figure out where
it goes wrong unless someone on the list has experience with the
configuration you want to use.
