RT 3.8 reached end-of-life nearly a year ago:

RT 3.8.8 was released nearly 5 years ago, and has multiple published
security vulnerabilities against it, including SQL injection and
arbitrary execution of code.  Upgrade -- which will also likely fix the
bug you're seeing.
