[Rtir] Apache hanging on RT 3.6

I have RT 3.6 installed on a Debian Lenny system. After logging in to
RT, I get the following in my syslog:

after which the browser just hangs waiting for a response from RT.

I think I've followed all the installation instructions. I installed the
package that's in the Debian repository.

Any ideas?
