You'll be fine as long as you don't commit to mirrors -- only local
copies of mirrors, and local unmirrored paths.

Yes, apart from some magic around mirrors (more specifically, revprops
of revisions affecting mirrored paths), the SVK depot is a normal SVN
repository.
