[rt-devel] dead tickets

We're  using RT 1.0.3.
Changing the status of a ticket to dead,
the transaction text isn't deleted in $transaction_dir.

Looking at the function kill in lib/rt/database/manipulate.pm
I noticed that it doesn't get the numbers after 
../$in_serial_num. thus trying to unlink the file
"$filename="$transaction_dir/$year/$month/$monthday/$in_serial_num."

Is this a common problem or one of our installation?
