Hello (Hallo),
there is a patch available fixing this problem.
You can find it at 
http://www.fsck.com/pub/rt/contrib/subject-encoding.patch
or, if you use rt-1.0.7, it's 
http://www.fsck.com/pub/rt/contrib/subject-encoding.patch-1.0.7

The patch is actually pretty small, only three lines are added.
