All / Jesse,
I can now modify keywords on exising tickets, but can't create them on new
ones.
This might not be a problem if I could find out how to get the ticket number
that was in the create back to the script (as well as the exit status of the
rt command).
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Derek...
PS - The Output from RT varies a lot depending on the switches used.
Sometimes you do get a carriage return after the information message
returned by RT, but other times you do not (specifically with keywords).

Subject: [rt-users] bin/rt questions
Hi there,
I'm looking at what I can do with the rt utility with respect to
creating
reports each night and emailing to users as well as creating tickets
from
another application (to do with work order processing in installations.
My questions are as follows:
- Is there any more documentation on $RT_SUMMARY_FORMAT
- I do not seem to be able to assign keywords as we add a new ticket
using
./rt
- I do not seem to be able to set keywords to an existing ticket using
./rt
- I want to associate tickets with each other using links - how can I
get
the ticket number generated when I add a ticket with ./rt
I'd appreciate any help or advice that anybody can provide.
Regards,
Derek...
PS - One tiny little bug - the help screen says you need to use
"--no-edit",
but the code appears to look for the switch "--noedit".
