[rt-users] Bug #2370 -- garbled PDF attachments

I'm observing another case of #2370, on RT 3.0.6.  In my case, binary
attachments look as if they have undergone a conversion from ISO-8859-1
to UTF-8.  The attachment stored in the database is already corrupted,
so this particular bug is not in the outgoing mail gateway or in the web
front end.

This is with Perl 5.8.0 and Perl's MIME modules in version 5.411 (on a
Debian system).  System locale is POSIX.

Gordon, have you discovered what was causing this misbehavior of your RT
instance?
