RT works just fine with Apache2. You just can't use it with mod_perl,
since mod_perl 2 has not been released.
If you want to help it progress along to release state, then join the
mod_perl developers list and start hacking. Major improvements were
made just last week.
Another issue with apache2 and mod_perl is that the apache2 APIs have
not yet settled down, and mod_perl is very intimately integrated with
the server. The moving target of apache2 is not helping mod_perl get
finished any faster.
