Personally, I'm _still_ not big on using apache2 in production. But
Autrijus is.  RT 3.4 has better support for mp2 than 3.2 did.
The latest version of Mason (1.27) has much better support
for Apache2/mod_perl2. Yesterday, autrijus presented me with the first
version of a patch to enable much simpler and cleaner modperl 2 support
in 3.4. He's currently working on a new test suite for it to ensure that
it doesn't cause regressions on other platforms.

In short, it should work now. It should work even better once mod_perl
2.0 is actually released and we take autrijus' latest patch.
