[rt-users] Custom Fields on Update (RT 3.0.9)

[RT NS]

We're using RT 3.0.9 and would like to include/edit custom fields in Update.html & Display.html.  The code on the wiki (EditCustomFieldsOnUpdate) applies only for RT 3.2.X, and I was unable to locate the original patch from the list archives using Dig or Google.
 
Can anyone please tell me how they implemented this?
