On the same subject, Can you edit the visual elements of RT in
Dreamweaver or Nvu?. I only get the "You're almost there.." index.html
page.

There is plenty of information on the wiki about this. I suggest you do
some searching on there.
Most of the customizing is done through CSS since RT makes use of that.
