[rt-users] Bug or Feature - Resolved Date sticky

One of our users reported a "bug" - if a resolved ticket is 
re-opened, the "Closed" remains set to the date of the original 
resolution. I can't make my mind up whether this is a bug or a 
feature. Does anyone have an opinion on this?
