Thanks, Garry that did the trick!

I recently installed TicketLocking and introduced the HomepageComponent 
option to our SiteConfig in that context. Since I only included 
'MyLocks' and left out the rest everything was screwed up. Did not 
notice until I created a new user today...

DOH!
