[rt-users] Strange URL behavior - forward slash after .html

I'm running RT 4.0.8 and am running into a strange issue:

Pages that end in .html (such as Build.html for searches) format themselves as follows:
/rt/Search/Build.html/?NewQuery=1

That forward slash after Build.html causes problems, as if I click "Add these terms and search", it tries to navigate to:
/rt/Search/Build.html/Build.html

Which obviously doesn't exist.

I can't figure out if this is an Apache or RT misconfiguration...any thoughts?
