Hiya,

If your monitoring software is generating mails, I don't see why  
not???, in fact in the wiki you can see how someone connected RT to  
Nagios (http://wiki.bestpractical.com/view/AutoCloseOnNagiosRecoveryMessages 
) in somehow.
