Heh -- I wrote that note.  :-)

I thought that it might have been conflicting socket modules.  I guess not.

That shouldn't be necessary -- the svk.bat file manipulates the PATH
automatically for you.

This sounds like it might be some Windows permissions issue but I'm
pretty much stumped now.  Sorry I couldn't be more help.
