[rt-devel] Extending user information

I'd like to add to the attributes that are stored pertaining to users.  One
feature in particular I'd like to implement is an organizational hierarchy,
defining a manager for each user defined in RT.  This will be used in some
custom escalation rules when tickets are not resolved when they are supposed
to be.
 
Has anyone implemented anything similar to this ?  Any ideas would be
greatly appreciated.
