as of searchbuilder 0.93_01 and RT 3.0.7pre1, RT should now use ILIKE to
do case-insensitive LIKE comparisons on postgres. Additionally, a large
number of minor correctness issues with RT on Postgres have been cleaned
up.  I don't expect that this snapshot will be noticably faster on
postgres, but I'd very much like to hear experiences.
