[rt-users] NIS authentication support?

Hi---

I want to use NIS to authenticate my users. I'm using 1.0.7, since
it's the stable production release. I know from reading the list
archives that the ns_authentication patch doesn't work. Is
there a patch somewhere else that will solve this problem for me,
or am I on my own? 

Will the 2.0 release support NIS authentication out of the box?
