[rt-users] Installing RT on Windows

Hi all,
 
   We have been trying to install RT 3.0 on Windows 98/2000. But we are
facing a peculiar problem here. While running the Setup script for RT,
RT does install Apache, Perl, Mysql. However, it then goes to a level
where it says could not connect to Mysql server with the foll. error -

Path/to/mysql.exe -P8285 -uroot rt3 <  C:\Program Files\Our
Internet\Request Tracker\win32/schema.delta
ERROR 2003: Could not connect to Mysql server on localhost.

However, we have also added an entry for user root with the above
password in the user table. Further, we are able to connect to Mysql
from the command prompt too.

Please help.
