[rt-users] priority change as due date draws near

The RT manual description of priority states:
  By setting a final priority you can make a ticket's priority increase or
decrease
  as its due date draws closer.

I have not observed this behaviour.
Is there something which needs to be done to make this happen, or is it not
built in?
Do I need to write my own sql script/cron job to make it happen?
