Hmmm, valid point, but this email addr is internal only and there's no
way to forward email from the internet to this RT.....

Any hints on the scrip? I haven't written one before......

You could do it with a scrip. But if you do that, it means that a third
party could get themselves added to _every_ ticket in your system by
spamming you. Which may well not be what you want.
